synopsis
The project features a site-specific itinerant performance in a rural village, led by two performers and enriched by the work of visual artist Iside Calcagnile, who transforms discarded and abandoned materials found on-site. First presented in Colle Ameno (Sasso Marconi), Adhærĕo – esercizi di aderenza is designed for isolated, minimally contaminated urban spaces, aiming to continue its research in other villages and natural environments while highlighting their unique characteristics. Performers Riccardo De Simone and Laura Chieffo use walking and transformation as tools to evoke disappearance, appearance, and mutation, becoming “guardians” of the village—figures that embrace otherness rather than repel it. The concept of emptiness, often seen negatively, is here a creative resource, a suspended time, a deep listening. The performance offers a contemplative, regenerative experience—a sensitive pilgrimage through matter, history, and the present. The village becomes a living ecosystem of relationships, where art, body, and landscape interact to create new traces of meaning and renewal.
